Reddit is the exception: it always uses notification posting, where an alert reaches your phone or browser and you publish natively from the Reddit app in about 20 seconds. Notification posting is also offered on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, where you can pick it per post. There it is optional and exists because it unlocks things the platform APIs will not do, like Instagram Story links, TikTok music and the native editing tools. On Reddit it is the only method, because Reddit treats third-party API posting as automation. Postpone detects your timezone from your browser the first time you sign in, and every date on the calendar — plus every time you pick when scheduling — is in that timezone. You can override it under Settings if you travel or your audience sits somewhere else. Account schedules use the same setting, so they are disabled until a timezone is set. Give an account its slots — Monday 9am, Wednesday noon, Friday 5pm — and every new post for that account is pre-filled with the next open one, which you can still override. It fills gaps rather than appending to the end: if Friday and next Monday are booked but Wednesday is free, Wednesday is what you get. A slot counts as taken when a post already lands within about 30 minutes of it, and when the next few months are booked solid you are offered the first slot after the end of the queue, so a deep queue never stops filling itself. [**Setting up an account schedule **](https://help.postpone.app/scheduling/publishing/account-schedules) ### **How are posts counted against my monthly limit?** By the date they are scheduled for, or the date they actually went out. A post scheduled for May 15 counts against May even if you create it in April, and each monthly billing cycle has its own limit — including on annual plans. Unused posts do not roll over. Two kinds do not count at all: drafts, which are only counted once you schedule or submit them, and failed posts, which is why a platform outage does not eat into your month. Only notification posts can go overdue — an automatic post submits itself whether you are looking or not — and it happens when the notification arrived and the post was never published: the phone was elsewhere, or the moment passed. Everything overdue is listed with its original time and account, filterable by account or subreddit, and you can reschedule it, submit it immediately, or delete it. Open it and edit anything, or drag it to a new slot on the calendar. Nothing is locked in once it is scheduled. Deleting is reversible too: a deleted post or draft goes to the Trash for 30 days, from which it can be restored either as a draft or straight back onto the calendar at its original time. After 30 days it is gone, and you can empty the Trash sooner if you want it gone now. Download the CSV template for a platform, fill in a row per post, upload it, and Postpone validates every row and shows you a preview before anything is scheduled. It is available for Reddit, X/Twitter, Threads, Instagram, Bluesky, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook, each with columns specific to that platform. You do not have to type a date on every row either. Put queue\_next in the post\_at column and the post takes the next open slot on that account’s schedule, so a hundred rows spread themselves across your posting cadence instead of landing at once.
