Google Photos and Postpone

# Schedule Social Posts from Google Photos with Postpone

Postpone connects to your Google Photos so a picture from your phone goes straight into a post, without exporting it, sending it to yourself and uploading it again. It is built for creators who shoot on a phone all day and want the good ones scheduled from a desk.

## **Social Posts from Google Photos**

### Post the Photo on Your Phone Without Ever Exporting It

The photo you took an hour ago, or on a trip years back, can be in a scheduled post straight from Google Photos, with nothing exported or saved to the desk you are scheduling from. Pick one or several, each its own post on whichever platforms you publish to, and your photo library is left as it was.

## **Google Photos Content Library**

### Keep the Ones Worth Posting Apart From the Ten Thousand That Are Not

Only the photos you pick from Google Photos land in Postpone's [**Content Library**](https://www.postpone.app/features/content-library), so the library is your shortlist rather than the whole camera roll. Label them by trip, dish or series, then filter to what has never been posted: a camera roll cannot tell you which of forty near-identical frames already went up, and the library can.

## **Watermark Google Photos Imports**

### Put Your Handle on Every Photo Before It Leaves

Save your handle, logo or website as a watermark preset once and every photo you import from Google Photos carries it as it arrives, while the original in your album stays clean. Crop, rotate or filter in Postpone's own editor, and nothing else sits between the phone and the post.

## Everything Postpone Does With a Google Photos Picture

Six things a photo can do once it is in Postpone, none of which need an export.

- ### Import Without Exporting

Browse your Google Photos from inside the upload dialog and pull a photo straight into a post or the Content Library. It never leaves the cloud to get there, and Google Photos itself is untouched.
- ### Phone Formats Accepted as They Are

HEIC and HEIF from an iPhone, JPEG and PNG from anything else, up to 20 MB a photo. What the phone saved is what Postpone takes, with no conversion step on your side.
- ### A Set in One Go

Pick every photo from the day at once and they upload together, ready to become an Instagram carousel, a run of Pins or a week of single posts, whichever the set deserves.
- ### Your Handle on Every Import

Your default preset, a logo or up to 500 characters of text in one of six fonts, lands on each imported photo at the size, opacity and corner you set. Applied as the photo arrives, if you choose.
- ### Scheduled or Queued, Not Posted by Hand

A photo attached to a post goes out at the time you pick, or at the next slot in a custom schedule, on every platform you chose. Auto-repost can run it again later.
- ### See Which Photos Land

Every post shows up in analytics like any other, so you can compare the wide shot with the close-up by likes, saves and impressions and shoot more of what your audience actually responds to.

## Twelve Platforms From One Camera Roll

A photo from Google Photos can be scheduled to every platform Postpone publishes to.

## Connect Google Photos to Postpone in Three Steps

Connect Google Photos once and your photos are ready to schedule.

1. 1 ### Connect your accounts

Add the social accounts you publish to, then sign in to Google Photos the first time you import. There is nothing else to set up.
2. 2 ### Import a photo into a post

Bring any photo out of Google Photos and into Postpone without downloading it first. Postpone reads your photos and changes nothing in Google Photos.
3. 3 ### Schedule it and keep it

Attach the photo to a post, choose the platforms and set the time. It stays in your Content Library, watermarked if you set a default.

### **How do I post a photo from Google Photos with Postpone?**

You browse Google Photos from inside Postpone and import the picture straight into your Content Library or the post you are composing. Open the upload dialog, choose the Google Photos tab and sign in to Google.

There is no export from Photos and re-upload to a scheduler, which is the step that makes phone photography awkward to schedule in the first place.

[**The Content Library **](https://www.postpone.app/features/content-library)

### **Does Postpone have access to my whole photo library?**

You sign in through Google's own authorization screen inside the upload dialog and can revoke that access from your Google account at any time. Postpone imports the items you pick rather than syncing the library, so what ends up in the Content Library is what you chose to put there and nothing else.

[**The Content Library **](https://www.postpone.app/features/content-library)

### **Are imported photos watermarked and tracked like uploads?**

Yes, Postpone treats them as uploads on both counts. A default watermark preset is applied as the photo arrives, and the Content Library records whether you have used it, so you can filter to photos you have never posted rather than guessing which ones have already been round.

[**The Content Library **](https://www.postpone.app/features/content-library)

### **Can Postpone import HEIC photos from an iPhone?**

Yes, Postpone accepts HEIC and HEIF alongside JPEG, PNG and WebP, up to 20 MB a photo, so a picture backed up from an iPhone imports as it is.

[**The Instagram scheduler **](https://www.postpone.app/platforms/instagram-post-scheduler)

### **Does Postpone import new photos automatically as I take them?**

No, Postpone imports the photos you pick and nothing else. There is no syncing of the camera roll and no automatic import, so a photo you would rather not post never reaches your library. Select several in one visit to the dialog to bring a whole set across.

[**The Content Library **](https://www.postpone.app/features/content-library)

### **Can I post one Google Photos picture to several platforms at once?**

Yes, an imported photo behaves like any other library item, so one compose screen sends it to Instagram, Pinterest, Threads, X, Bluesky and the rest as a separate post on each, with its own caption and that platform's own options. Pinterest takes a title, a description and a destination link on the same photo.
