Apple Podcasts and Postpone

# Auto-Share New Podcast Episodes to Social Media with Postpone

Postpone watches your show and turns every new episode into scheduled posts on X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Threads and more. It is built for podcasters who want each episode promoted the day it drops, without writing the same announcement in five apps.

## **Auto-Share Apple Podcasts Episodes**

### Promote Every Episode Without Writing the Announcement

Paste your show's Apple Podcasts link and every episode shows up in Postpone on its own, with its title, link and artwork ready to post. No Apple account to connect and nothing to change at your host. Post one yourself, or hand the whole job to an [**automation**](https://www.postpone.app/features/social-media-automation) and let each episode promote itself.

## **Apple Podcasts Post Templates**

### Write the Post Once and Let Every Episode Fill It In

Write the announcement once, the way you would write it yourself, and every new episode of your podcast fills it in with its own title, link and description. Each platform gets its own version, a thread that walks through the episode here and a short note there, and a live preview shows what will go out before you save.

## **Apple Podcasts Social Automation**

### Decide How Much Each Episode Posts on Its Own

Choose how much each episode does on its own: the post can wait as a draft for a read-through, go out on a delay you set, or publish as soon as Postpone sees the episode. Pause the automation between seasons, and the run history shows every post that did not go out, and why.

## Everything Postpone Does With a New Episode

Six things Postpone can do with a new episode, all from the feed it already reads.

- ### One Episode, a Post for Every Platform

A single automation holds several actions, each aimed at one account with its own template. The same episode can read as a pull quote on X, a summary on LinkedIn and a one-liner on Threads, all from the same run.
- ### A Second Push Later in the Week

Two actions on the same account with different delays announce the episode on release day and again on Thursday. Auto-repost can reshare the published post on a delay as well, on the platforms that support it.
- ### Timing That Suits Each Platform

Give each action its own delay. Publish to Bluesky as the episode drops, wait until the next morning for LinkedIn and hold X for the commute, all from one episode and one automation.
- ### Review Before Anything Goes Out

Set an action to draft rather than publish and the post waits in Drafts. Change the wording, add the episode artwork, then schedule it yourself. Nothing publishes until you say so.
- ### Let the AI Write the Post From the Link

Paste an episode's link into Postpone's AI writer and it reads the show notes and drafts a post or a whole thread from them, in the tone you have set for that platform.
- ### See How Each Post Performs on Social

Every post an automation publishes shows up in analytics like any other, so you can compare posts by likes, replies and impressions and see which platform your listeners are actually on.

## Seven Platforms From One Podcast Feed

An automation schedules posts to these platforms on its own.

- [**X**Posts and threads](https://www.postpone.app/platforms/twitter-post-scheduler)
- [**LinkedIn**Profiles and Pages](https://www.postpone.app/platforms/linkedin-scheduler)
- [**Bluesky**Posts and threads](https://www.postpone.app/platforms/bluesky-post-scheduler)
- [**Threads**Posts and threads](https://www.postpone.app/platforms/threads-scheduler)
- [**Mastodon**Posts and threads](https://www.postpone.app/platforms/mastodon-post-scheduler)
- [**Facebook**Pages](https://www.postpone.app/platforms/facebook-post-scheduler)
- [**Reddit**Posts to a subreddit](https://www.postpone.app/platforms/reddit-post-scheduler)

Need Instagram, TikTok or YouTube Shorts as well? The [**Zapier integration**](https://www.postpone.app/integrations/zapier) schedules to those from any trigger Zapier supports, and the [**Postpone API**](https://www.postpone.app/features/social-media-api) reaches all twelve platforms.

## Connect Your Podcast to Postpone in Three Steps

Set it up once and every episode you release promotes itself.

1. 1 ### Add your show as a feed

Point Postpone at your show and it watches for new episodes, wherever the podcast is hosted, with no account to connect.
2. 2 ### Build the automation

Write one template per platform from the episode's title, link and description, then choose whether each post drafts, schedules itself or publishes right away.
3. 3 ### Release your next episode

Postpone spots the new episode and fills your template, so every release reaches your audience as a draft, a scheduled post or one published on the spot.

Questions About Postpone and Apple Podcasts

How Postpone follows a show, what it does with each episode, and where the posts land.

Still have questions? Check out our help center for answers to most of your questions, or reach out to our support team.

### **How does Postpone promote a new podcast episode?**

Postpone watches your show and posts each new episode through an automation. Add the podcast under Feeds, either by its Apple Podcasts listing or its RSS feed, and write one template using the episode title, its link and its description.

Every episode after that reaches your social accounts without a separate promotion pass, as a draft you approve, a scheduled post or one published on the spot.

[**How automations work **](https://www.postpone.app/features/social-media-automation)

### **Do I need an Apple Podcasts account connected to Postpone?**

No, Postpone reads the public feed behind your show rather than signing in anywhere. That is also why it works no matter where the show is hosted: the Apple Podcasts listing is just the address, and the feed is what Postpone actually follows.

[**Every supported feed source **](https://help.postpone.app/content/feeds/supported-feed-sources)

### **Can one episode become several posts across the week?**

Yes, an automation can create several actions from one episode, each with its own account, its own copy and its own scheduled time. A scheduled action reads plain-language delays like tomorrow at 9am or Thursday at noon, counted from the moment it fires, so a Tuesday episode can announce itself immediately and follow up on Thursday from the same run.

[**The three action types **](https://help.postpone.app/scheduling/automation/actions)

### **How long after an episode is published does the post go out?**

Postpone checks your podcast feed on a schedule rather than the instant your host publishes, so there is a short delay before the automation runs. Feeds are polled, not pushed.

After that it depends on the action. A submitted post publishes as soon as the run starts, and a scheduled post waits for the delay you set, counted from that moment.

[**Automation troubleshooting **](https://help.postpone.app/scheduling/automation/troubleshooting)

### **Can I edit the post before it goes out?**

Yes, set the action to draft a post instead of scheduling or submitting it and Postpone leaves the post in your Drafts. Open it, change the wording, add the episode artwork or a clip, then schedule it yourself.

A scheduled post can also be edited on the calendar right up until it publishes.

[**The social media scheduler **](https://www.postpone.app/features/social-media-scheduler)

### **Which platforms can a podcast automation post to?**

Seven: X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Threads, Mastodon, Facebook and Reddit. Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest and Tumblr are not available to automations. The Zapier integration reaches the first three of those and the Postpone API reaches all twelve.
